Monday 16th July
We have settled into the Streaky Bay caravan park for the next 2 nights at least because this place just has a nice vibe about it, and we think there is enough to keep us occupied and interested until later in the week.  We are parked almost on the edge of the water and the view is one very easy to soak up.
When we stay in caravan parks we unhitch the caravan and explore the area in the car.  These explorations are often on dirt and sometimes rough roads, so it is really worth taking the time to see what is around the next corner.
Today we completed a 31km scenic loop known as Westall Loop.
We saw sea stacks looking out of the Southern Ocean and further along the surf beach known as Granites.  We descended a long steep stairway to the beach and had fun rock hopping and taking photos of Sea Spurge.
For those who remember, one of our duties while caretaking Deal Island was to maintain an elimination regime for Sea Spurge.  It was like re-visiting an old friend, however this time we let it continue to live where we found it.
Fresh unopened oysters are available at an Oyster Shed about one kilometer from where we are staying, so we bought a few dozen today at $7 a doz, and promised the man we will probably return for more tomorrow.  They were great coupled with a glass of wine while watching the sun set.  We were joined by Sue and Ian some fellow caravanners from a few “vans away” and relished the balmy afternoon and perfect sunset.
